Casting distance is great without any extra As a saltwater wade fisherman I am interested to see how it holds up after repeated use. I am having to replace bearings constantly in my other reels.

This reel takes some finite adjusting but once you get it dialed in it is amazing. I can cast as far with this reel as I can with other high dollar reels that I own while using less effort. It is as smooth as can be reeling your baits back in. Has a little hole on the bottom of the reel that seems like it is a hook holder. Not sure if that was their intention but it sure works well for that.

A good friend gifted me a Trika Spinning Reel. It was fantastic, but I am pretty much a baitcaster guy. Purchased a 7’ Trika Rod along with a Trika Ti100 Reel, and have never looked back. The rod is so sensitive, and I can cast that reel further than any other reel I have ever owned. Along with a nice 6 pound largemouth, I am also hooked on Trika!

I did not give this premium reel the princess treatment. It’s fought and won against big bull reds, 40 lb black drum, trout, mackerel and a couple big stingrays and has never let me down. That drag clicker is music to my ears. I thought the saltwater would have degraded its performance, but it casts as far, and works just as smooth as the first day I used it with minimal maintenance.
