"I have historically fished higher end Loomis and Shimano Conquest rods. Picked up a 6x on a whim to pair with a Trika baitcasting reel (which is also amazing). This combo has become my favorite for inshore Redfish. Incredibly light, sensitive, and a surprising amount of backbone- no problem handling 30”+ fish. "Not my first 6X. I have the 7 foot six inch Medium Fast model for inshore salt water lure fishing. The rod is light and I can throw lures all day without tiring. The sensitivity allows me to detect subtle strikes and get a good hook set when the fish are timid. In short a great rod!"
