Growing up in Rockwood, Tennessee near Watts Bar Lake, his passion for fishing started early. Learning the craft from homemade baits, creek fishing, and long days in a john boat that shaped his love for bass fishing. From leading his high school bass club to fishing local tournaments, that passion grew into a competitive career. After working in a machine shop and as a TVA lineman, a life changing accident pushed him to fully pursue tournament fishing, where he quickly found success on the FLW Tour. With the support of his family, faith, and his wife Stephanie, who now runs the business side, he continues to compete at a high level, building the Strader Fishing brand into what it is today.

Christian qualified for the MLF Pro Circuit in 2021 during his first season fishing the Toyota Series. In his second Pro Circuit event, he secured a win on the Harris Chain. He went on to win AOY in the Toyota Series in 2022 and claimed victory at the Toyota Series event on the Potomac in 2023.
Four years ago, Christian started his YouTube channel to document his fishing tournaments and help market himself to potential sponsors. Since then, he has documented and posted videos of every tournament he’s fished. It’s always a great feeling when people at tackle shops or boat ramps
approach him to say they watch his videos!
